Neutrogena Skin Care

It can be a challenge taking care of your complexion and keeping it looking nice. Everything from the amount you sweat to the food you eat has an impact. Whether you care to believe it or not, your daily routines can affect your skin's clarity. One way to keep things in order is with a quality skin care system. Neutrogena skin care products are a wonderful example. Not only do these cosmetic solutions get the job done right, but they're available virtually everywhere and won't put a hole in your purse or wallet.

I think it's safe to say that we've all encountered Neutrogena skin care products at some point. This brand has been around for some time now and it certainly lives up to its stellar reputation. What I like is their range of solutions. They not only offer skin care lines for those with acne and oily skin, but they also have products for ageing and dry skin. This makes sense to me. After all, there are various skin types, and we all have different needs. Since I'm a 31 year old male with slightly dry skin, I definitely don't want their acne facial cleanser. It would seriously dry out my mug. Instead I look for Neutrogena skin care products for normal to dry skin. My wife does the same. For many of you teenagers out there, be prepared for the conditions to flip as you age. You'll be worried about dry cheeks instead of acne breakouts. It's the cycle of aging.

Out of the drugstore cosmetic lines, Neutrogena skin care is the best as far as I can tell. While Biore seems to hold its own in some respects, it doesn't offer the wide array of products like Neutrogena does. Now, consider the various skin care solutions you need. Most likely you require some sort of face wash, possibly a toner/astringent, and finally a moisturizer for certain areas of your face. Neutrogena skin care has all these things. You can even find on-the-spot treatments for blemishes, as well as hand creams and sun blocks to protect your body from the elements. Neutrogena skin care offers it all.

Dry Skin Care

People are made differently. We come in various races, shapes and sizes. While one individual may have flawless skin, another could be afflicted with severe acne. Much lies in the genetics of our parents. But, regardless of the skin type you have, there are ways of dealing with it and keeping it looking great. You just have to understand your skin's needs and proceed regularly with the right skin care products. For example, I have dry skin. This means I need to focus more on moisturizing than I do cleansing and treating acne. I require a dry skin care regime in order to keep my complexion looking stellar.

As a teenager, I watched my best friend suffer with some of the worst acne I'd ever seen. This guy endured countless breakouts on his face, back and chest. All the while, I dealt more with dry, flaky skin. So while he needed prescription acne treatment creams and gels, I required more gentle dry skin care solutions. I got into the routine of cleansing my face only once each day, which was at night time. I used and still use a gentle facial cleanser known as Purpose, which works great for my dry cheeks and forehead. When I rise in the morning, I simply wipe my mug clean with a damp washcloth. No cleanser is needed. In addition to cleansing properly, I apply a moisturizer from Jack Black's skin care line. I do this in the morning and night to ensure optimal moisture. If I do not apply the moisturizer, my complexion will feel tight and dry. If you also have dry skin, then you know what I'm talking about.

Don't forget the basics! Dry skin care means using tepid water and patting your face dry. The mild water will not strip your face of its essential oils. Remember to apply your moisturizer of choice immediately after washing your face. It will absorb better and do its job, locking moisture in the epidermis. Naturally your diet also plays a part in caring for your skin. Fresh fruits and vegetables will benefit any skin type. Finally, you'll want to make certain you drink plenty of water on a regular basis in order to stay hydrated.

Diet As The Best Acne Treatments

Since the skin is the largest organ on the body and it assists other major organs in the human body with eliminating waste, one of the best acne treatments for some people can simply be the choice of foods they eat. If you are unhealthy inside it will be reflected in your skin.

Acne occurs when the natural oils that the skin produces gets clogged in the pores of the skin. Normally, acne is prevalent in the onset of puberty when the body starts to produce hormones, it has also been known to be a problem for women during pregnancy. Since acne is a problem for people world wide, there are many forms of treatment, products and medications on the market.

Many people claim that some simple diet changes can cure acne. When I was a teenager I had severe acne and tried using what were considered the best acne treatments at the time. Retin-A was one of the most popular prescription acne medications on the market at that time. Noxzema skin cream and Clearasil were some of the most popular acne products used among my friends and I.

I learnt the hard way that alcohol should not be used as a home remedy for acne and with severe acne cutting back on processed foods replacing them with a healthy diet including lots of fruits and vegetables.

Eating fiber-rich foods like fruit and vegetables, wholegrains and cereals help to clean out your digestive tract. One of the reasons people get acne is because their colons are dirty. Undigested processed food and mucus over the years form really toxic stuff called mucoid plaque.

If you've had for many years a diet with regular servings of some of the following: Fried food, animal food (including dairy), sugar, tea or coffee, white flower, microwaved food, hydrogenated fats and drugs such as alcohol or aspirin then, you more than likely have mucoid plaque in your body.

All sorts of nasty bacteria use these pockets of old feces as a breeding ground. One of these bugs, called candida eats sugars that it gets from your food and in return gives off really nasty chemicals in return that can cause all sorts of allergic reactions and skin conditions.

Using diet as an natural acne treatment was not as bad as I had thought it would be. There are so many foods that act naturally as a home remedy for acne and are often the best acne treatments. At first I thought that it would be easier to just remember when to use acne medication or other acne products that I was using at the time rather than to give up on junk foods.

One of the best fiber-rich foods is called psyllium. You can buy psyllium husks from your local supermarket or health food store and you can easily mix a tablespoon into a glass of water and drink it. Psyllium husks is also the main ingredient on some popular laxative drinks like Metamucil.

Not only will psyllium husks keep you "regular" but they act like a sponge by cleaning your colon at the same time.

You will have to find the best home remedies for you by simply researching on your own. If the eyes are the window to the soul then the skin is a reflection of your overall health so the beginning of a real cure starts from within.
